It is not easy to have a classroom with 20 or 30 children, being able to maintain a balance and harmony in the class so that all students attend and learn can be difficult at times.

Punishments will be a success when:

1. When instead of punishments are agreed consequences.

2. When the student agrees with the teacher the consequences.

3. When the student collaborates in establishing the consequences for their actions.

4. When there are also rewards to promote good behavior.

5. When there is emotional support after the consequences and the teacher is busy talking about what happened with the student to reach new agreements and consequences.

6. When the student is aware of what has happened, he has a reason and looks for a way to solve this negative behavior.

Punishments should never be corporal or use derogatory language to humiliate the student. Punishments and consequences should be aimed at eliminating privileges (such as 10 minutes less of recess) or giving privileges in case of good behavior (such as the student doing something they like, such as being the class messenger).
